A proven track record for handling trusts and estates.

Our mission in estate planning is to guide and support our clients, regardless of their wealth level, in making informed decisions to grow and protect their assets and to establish the right mechanisms for transferring their estate to their chosen beneficiaries, including individuals and charitable organizations.

We leverage our extensive knowledge and personalized service to devise a bespoke plan for each client. Our expertise includes crafting Wills, from straightforward to complex, as well as Trusts, Family Limited Partnerships, and Charitable Foundations. We possess specialized skills in planning for individuals with disabilities, utilizing supplemental needs trusts (SNT) to enhance their quality of life. Our approach is collaborative, involving the client's other advisors, such as accountants and insurance professionals, to optimize every aspect of estate, gift, and income tax planning.

Regarding the probate and administration of estates, our firm simplifies the complexities encountered by fiduciaries (executors, administrators, trustees), making these responsibilities more manageable. Our team is expertly trained in trust and estate administration, handling everything from probate filings to the preparation and submission of formal judicial accountings. Our capabilities also extend to post-mortem tax planning and the completion and submission of state and federal estate tax returns. We have managed estates ranging from modest sums to multi-million dollar assets across various down-state counties, especially in Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, and New York Counties.

In cases where estate and/or trust administration leads to litigation in Surrogate's Court, we have significant expertise representing both petitioners and respondents in contested estate matters. Our services cover Will contests, judicial accountings, fiduciary removal actions, recovery of estate assets, wrongful death settlements, and other disputes related to a decedent's estate. Our Partners are often appointed by Surrogate's Courts as Guardian ad Litem, reflecting our firm's reputable standing with both the courts and their staff.

Furthermore, our estate plans commonly incorporate advance directives such as Inter-Vivos Trusts, Health Care Proxies, Living Wills, and Powers of Attorney. These critical documents empower trusted individuals to make decisions on your behalf when you are unable to do so yourself, often holding equal or greater importance for the client than a Last Will.
